[NSW] Into the Vines: Next-Gen Nectars

Our first Sydney edition of Into The Vines showcased women in wine, and this time, we’re bringing five winemakers to Freshwater Brewing who are pioneering the lofi wine movement.

It’s designed to go against the perceived pomp and privilege of many traditional wine events and make it approachable for anyone who enjoys drinking nice things, learning about how lofi wines are made, and meeting the makers. Think alternative varietals, funky blends, unfiltered and unfined drops, grapes from micro-vineyards and everything in between.

The full lineup includes the young fermentation collective Fin Wines (Yarra Valley, VIC), the terroir-driven Mada Wines (Canberra, ACT), the boutique and boundary-pushing Mallaluka Wines (Canberra, ACT), the full of life, family-owned Renzaglia Wines (Bathurst NSW), and the organically farmed and family-owned Vinden Wines (Hunter Valley, NSW).

We’ve structured it so it’s a wine tour in an expansive space, with the chance to discover new varietals and blends of wines made by boutique wineries, and special offers on take-home bottles on the night. The interactive structure of the tastings means you’ll be able to deep dive into the world of wine with a tasting card, question prompts to ask the makers and plenty of time to work your way around the room.

It’s an open session, with entry being from anytime between 6pm – 7:30pm, and you can stay until the event ends at 9pm. On top of the wines, Freshie will be offering up their range of delicious beers, new food menu and dinner deals ($25 burger and pints) plus tasting and cheese platters for two for $30.
