Highlighting positive D&I practices in the workplace
Since January 2021, the Sommeliers Australia D&I Working Group has been delving into how to better support diversity and inclusion in the hospitality and wine industries.
Along the way the group have uncovered a number of businesses that are working well in the D&I space, creating positive outcomes for their business and positive experiences for their employees and customers alike.
Our monthly “Positive Business Builds Positive Experiences” social media posts will highlight just some of the Positive Businesses the D&I Working Group have had contact with, starting with Melbourne restaurant Vue de Monde offering wheelchair sommelier Mirko Pastorelli the opportunity to develop his floor and customer service skills far from his native Italy.
