[VIC] Italian Wine Scholar Prep with Wine House

As a foundation course, the IWS Prep is delivered in the format of a series of four x 2.5 hour classes with extensive premium wine tasting. You will learn the country’s wine styles glass by glass! The course provides an introduction to Italy, explores its key wine regions and delivers core information on 39 of the country’s need-to-know wines. It is your passport to understanding Italian wine!

Cost of the course is $680, which includes:

• A beautifully designed 125-page course book, content rich with language aids and maps.
• One year access to high-quality e-learning reference material designed to enrich the course and support different learning styles.
• A multiple-choice questions exam. (optional)

This course is delivered over four sessions on the following dates:

22/02/2023: 6:30pm – 9pm – Introduction and Sparkling Wine of Italy

01/03/2023: 6:30pm – 9pm – Northern Italian Reds and Whites

08/03/2023: 6:30pm – 9pm – Central Italian Reds and Whites

15/03/2023: 6:30pm – 9pm – Southern Italian Reds and Whites

22/03/2023: 6:30pm – Exam 

The exam is comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes and on passing students receive a certificate, pin and ‘IWSprep’ post-nominal.

Location: Wine House Upstairs Tasting Rooms, 133 Queensbridge St, Southbank.

Please note: No refunds will be issued within 10 working days prior to the start of the course. Before that period a 75% refund is allowed if a student cancels their enrolment. A 100% refund will apply if Wine House cancels. There is a re-sit exam fee of $150 if a student does not attend the exam for any reason or fails the exam.
