The production of sparkling wine in Australia, in all its guises, has been on the increase for a couple of decades now, with the market for bubbly never losing traction. Join Sommeliers Australia and our expert panellists as we look into the rise and rise of sparkling – from production to the marketplace.

This masterclass will delve into how the Australian sparkling wine industry has evolved, where it is headed, and the role that dosage plays along the way.

With special acknowledgement to the role that the late Dr Tony Jordan played in the development of sparkling wine in Australia, Dan Buckle (Domaine Chandon) will share a selection of wines as part of a commemorative tasting.

Looking towards the future of Australian Sparkling, Ed Carr (House of Arras) will share some of his wines and thoughts about where the Sparkling sector is heading.

Clare Burder (Eminence Wines) will join Dan and Ed to guide attendees through a structured tasting, with the aim of demystify the role of dosage in various styles of sparkling.

This is set to be a sparkler of a masterclass, and definitely one not to be missed!
