Following internal promotion and ongoing group expansion, an exciting and rare opportunity has become available for an exceptional wine professional to join edition Hospitality as our Group Sommelier.
Based in Melbourne, this leadership role oversees the wine program across our entire portfolio, driving the continued evolution of our beverage offering while maintaining the highest standards of service, education and cellar management. Working closely with venue leadership teams, producers and suppliers, the Group Sommelier is a hands-on role that combines strategic direction with day-to-day operational involvement, ensuring each venue delivers an exceptional and distinctive guest experience.

We are looking for someone experienced and passionate, with a deep knowledge of wine and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. They are a natural leader who thrives in a hands-on environment, building strong relationships with venue teams while inspiring and developing the next generation of sommeliers.
Our ideal candidate will have
- Advanced wine knowledge, ideally supported by WSET Diploma or CMS Advanced
- Proven experience in a group wine role or large-scale Head Sommelier position within premium dining
- A strong understanding of cellar management, costings, wine procurement, supplier relationships and commercial performance
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing teams
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to collaborate across multiple venues
- A strategic mindset balanced with a willingness to be operationally involved, supporting service, training and key events
- A genuine passion for hospitality and the drive to elevate edition’s wine program
