[NSW] New Zealand Wine – Though not as you know it
Date: April 20, 2020#1:30 pm-3:30 pm AEST
*Workshop postponed – new date yet to be confirmed*
20/20 New Zealand Wine Sommelier Workshop
20 Sommeliers
20 New Zealand Wines
One big round table discussion
(And a few pastries)
Experience another side of New Zealand wine
A dedicated sommelier-only masterclass, where the discussion is led by two of our own – Ashlyn Foster of QUAY and Bhatia Dheeraj of Merivale – based on the wines, the stories and the personalities they discovered in New Zealand during their 2019 Sommit Northland visit.
Ashlyn and Bhatia will share their finds from:
- Northland, the country’s first planted but least internationally available wine region
- Hawke’s Bay, comparing soil structure across winemaking style
- Central Otago, debating whether subregionality is really there, yet
- Marlborough, of course, but not as you know it
The workshop runs from 1.30pm – 4pm, with the masterclass from 2 – 3.30pm, with pastries either side.
20 seats only – RSVP essential
Please RSVP directly to Felicity Turner at New Zealand Winegrowers – [email protected]
