Held at Lee Ho Fook Sydney from 6:00pm on Monday, 6 July 2026, this black-tie event will culminate in the announcement and crowning of Australia’s Best Sommelier for 2026.
After progressing through a highly competitive selection process, finalists Justin Biskup (CARPE VINO, VIC), Clotilde Candusso (Freyja, VIC), Isaac Pockney (Bennelong, NSW) and Paolo Saccone MS (LUCAS Restaurants, NSW) will face a series of written, tasting, practical and theory examinations in pursuit of the nation’s highest sommelier honour.
The winner will earn the privilege of representing Australia on behalf of Sommeliers Australia at the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI) Best Sommelier of the World 2026 Competition, taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 11–17 October 2026.
