For this week’s ‘Spotlight on Committee’ series, let’s highlight Tim O’Donnell…

As a member of both the National Executive Committee and the VIC committee, Tim is focused on mentoring the new batch of hospitality professionals, through Sommeliers Australia and his role as a lecturer for Tourism and Hospitality at William Angliss Institute.

After working at fine dining establishment Logan Brown Restaurant in Wellington, New Zealand, Tim made the journey to Melbourne, where he thrived in service roles at restaurants such as Rockpool Bar & Grill, Spice Temple and Movida. This led to a role with the Reymond family, where he oversaw the beverage program for their group of venues.

Never resting on his laurels, Tim has recently re- ceived his MBA from RMIT University, and is now completing his studies in Applied Finance with UNSW.

As an WSET Diploma graduate and an educator, Tim specialises in helping his students train and develop their sensory and tasting skills. He also champions making wine education more accessible, and in breaking down stereotypes through inclusivity and diversity.
