A stalwart and a pillar to the sommelier community in Victoria, Susei has spent her lifelong career in hospitality nurturing and mentoring the next wave of wine talents. She is a member of the Victoria Committee for Sommeliers Australia.

Hailing from South Korea, Susei build her career as she rose through the ranks working at some of the best restaurants in Victoria, including Attica, Kisume and Doot Doot Doot. Her extensive knowledge and qualifications in wine and sake has earned her numerous wine list awards, including the coveted 3 Wine Glasses by Gourmet Traveller, consecutively for three years.

With her fingers on the pulse of the Melbourne wine scene, and the Australian hospitality industry as whole, Susei started SK Hospitality, a wine an on-premise consulting company, in 2023.

Susei is a much respected member of the industry, and this is due to not only her skill in service but for her genuine love for people and connection – with customers and colleagues alike.

Her motto, ‘Knowledge is power’, drives her to stay curious and humble as she continues to learn in the vast and ever-evolving wine world.
