Next on the ‘Spotlight on Committee’ series, we have Shaughn Jenkins…

Originally from Auckland, Shaughn is an intrepid wine scholar who’s passion lies in telling the story of a region’s wine and culture. This allows him to give a unique perspective inspired by his travels as he fulfills his role as a member of the South Australia Committee for Sommeliers Australia.

Shaughn built his wealth of experience working in places such as Villa Maria Estate and Gibbston Valley Winery. He holds a multitude of credentials, including honours as a Spanish and French Wine Scholar, WSET Diploma, and is an Argentina Wine Specialist. He is currently a Master of Wine Candidate.

His love and curiosity for all things wine and vine has led him to visit more than 100 wine regions across a dozen countries. His passion in promoting the different wine regions, and his knack for story-telling, result in a holistic and authentic approach to wine education.

Shaughn provides an all-encompassing service in wine education, consultation and promotion via his web business, Through the Cellar Door, and has also recently joined the East End Cellars family.
