As one of our newest committee members, lets highlight Iesha Poor for this week’s ‘Spotlight on Committee’ series…
Part of Sommeliers Australia’s WA committee, Iesha is always enriching and challenging herself in the study of wine.
Iesha’s journey start amidst the picturesque wineries of the Swan Valley in WA, where she began her career and fostered a deep-rooted passion for the art and science of winemaking.
Her dedication led her to pursue WSET Level 3, laying a solid foundation for her career. Iesha’s experience in winemaking and wine service gives her a unique vantage point in the industry.
She is currently a sommelier at the highly-awarded Mayfair Lane Pub and Dining Room in Perth. Further fuelling her love of wines, Iesha became a certified sommelier through the CMS program in 2022, and was selected for Sommeliers Australia’s Education Scholarship. She is currently also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Wine Business.
Her heart is in the introduction of nuanced and thoughtful wines that pay tribute to terroir to her customers.
