I felt incredibly fortunate to be invited to become a Sommelier’s Australia committee member many years ago. I saw this as my opportunity to give something back to the profession and the people that had inspired me to follow my passion for wine.
|MY BACKGROUND IS:
I grew up in Sydney and drank wine with my parents at home, but it wasn’t until I travelled to the UK in my 20’s and began working in restaurants and hotels that I discovered the amazing wines of Europe for the first time. The diversity and history of these wines and the community that surrounded them ignited a desire to learn and discover and share my enthusiasm.

I am a qualified Rescue and Recovery certified scuba diver!
|THE MOTTO I LIVE BY IS:
Enjoy and appreciate every day, nobody knows when their time will be up; try to go to bed having experienced or learnt something you didn’t know when you woke up.

I’m a sucker for Beaujolais, light crunchy reds from Mt Etna and anything from the Jura, preferably shared with friends and charcuterie but also happy with my own company and these!
