It is highly recommended for candidates to complete Level 2 prior to commencing Level 3

The Advanced Certificate qualification is designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world, and their commercial importance in the world’s liquor market.

The qualification will assist those who are required to make professional evaluations of wines, with regard to their commercial value in the retail and hospitality industry. It also provides candidates with an in-depth understanding of wine styles, wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production methods. Holders of the WSET level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines will be able to describe the characteristics of the principle wines of the world and give information on the key factors influencing style, quality and value.

The qualified student will be in a position to advise management, to answer customer queries authoritatively, and to make informed selections of wines in a variety of situations. The Course is also suitable for keen enthusiasts wanting to continue their wine studies in a structured manner.

This course runs for 7 weeks on Monday and Tuesday evenings from the 22nd of August 2023 to the 3rd of October 2023, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
There will also be one intensive Saturday on the 16th of September 2023 11am – 4pm.
