The OG clarets of Bordeaux are better than ever, as are Australia’s modern ‘clarets’ – cabernets, merlots, cab/shiraz blends – all perfect drinking at this time of year. So, dust off your classic Coonawarra’s, splurge on some new-wave Haut-Medoc, go mad on Margaux … bring a bottle of your favourite Claret and share it over lunch at the Kelvin Club. Think hearty wintery French dishes, like slow-braised daube and some other surprises!
