**New date**

Cast a flaming torch on the relics of a distant past and unearth something unique in the world of wine, from the cradle of civilisation.

Throughout the ages, Armenia, Georgia, Greece and Turkey have seen many different ages, peoples, conquerors, liberators. While their disparate wine cultures may not sit at the forefront of the wine lens, each country’s wine history has an important place nonetheless.

Sommeliers Australia’s Brisbane-based Ceri Kidby-Salom (Carls Wine Bar & Bistro) will be joined via Zoom by Jenny Polack (Bacchus Academy) and Wiremu Andrews (Dearth of a Salesman) from Melbourne to explore wines from the ancient birthplace of wine.

Encounter difficult to pronounce varieties from a true mosaic of geological makeup and experience both traditional methods and modern-day winemaking techniques.
