Monday, 8 July # 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm AEST

$20.00 – $45.00

* TICKETS EXTENDED UNTIL 4pm SUNDAY 7 JULY *

As the most prolific grape variety in Australia, Syrah – or as it’s more popularly known here, Shiraz – accounts for more than a quarter of total wine grape production. An adaptable variety in the vineyard, it is equally as versatile in the winery, where winemakers may choose to express it as a single variety, or blend it with other black or even white grapes.

From bold Aussie classics, to full flavoured Rhone-style blends and cool climate beauties, join Sommeliers Australia’s Jenny Polack (WSET Educator, Bacchus Academy) as she unpacks Shiraz/Syrah in all its guises. Taste, discuss and explore what makes each of these wine styles relevant in today’s market.
