Valpolicella Education Program – Advanced Level 2 Valpolicella Scholar
Course description:
If you love Italian red wines or work in hospitality, this course deepens your knowledge of Valpolicella. Explore the region’s history, wine styles and winemaking laws. Enjoy tasting and evaluating authentic Valpolicella wines.
This course also provides:
A Valpolicella Scholar Certificate from the Valpolicella Consorzio Tutela Vini.
Learning outcomes:
- Identify native grape varieties of Valpolicella and how the natural environment supports quality wine production
- Understand wine styles and winemaking techniques for Valpolicella reds, including the Appassimento (drying grapes) method
- Examine commercial and legal aspects of Valpolicella winemaking, including market positioning and quality standards
- Gain insight into Valpolicella’s viticultural history, from Roman times to today
- Evaluate Valpolicella wines through guided tasting
Course outcomes include:
- A Certificate of Attendance
