Session postponed due to international travel restrictions

With the Best Sommelier of Australia 2020 competition and Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced exams just around the corner, Sommeliers Australia is excited to host a Best Sommelier Q&A session with Peer F. Holm, President of the German Sommeliers Association, wine educator and international competition judge.

With German Sommeliers Association candidate Marc Almert, taking out the title of ASI Best Sommelier of the World 2019, Peer is well positioned to share some insight into the world of sommelier competitions.

During the Q&A session, Peer will briefly discuss the techniques required to actively participate in a ‘Best Sommelier’ competition – theoretical knowledge, practical skill, tips and tricks – in a casual format. The floor will then be open to more specific questions from those attending.

I’m really thrilled to have the opportunity to meet so many somms in Australia and I’ll do my very best to give all of them support and ideas.” Peer F. Holm

Peer F. Holm – a brief bio

Transitioning to the international wholesale wine trade, and through his amassed expertise Peer now works with producers and organisations across all the aspects necessary to sell a glass of wine – or even better: two glasses!
