NSW: Professional Restaurant Sommelier Course

This intensive 16 week course is ideal training for people who wish to commence their career as a Sommelier.
The course covers all the fundamental areas of training required of a Sommelier. It is ideal for people who wish to progress onto Court of Master Sommelier or WSET (Level 3) qualifications.
Training in professional sensory evaluation
Overview of viticulture and winemaking
In-depth knowledge on Australian and Imported wine regions
beers, spirits and liqueurs
Overview of the major imported wine styles and regions
Practical food and wine matching
Designing, constructing and costing restaurant wine lists
Practice of the storage, sale and service of wine
The role of Sommelier and communicating with customers
Introduction to the Australian Wine Industry
Course conducted by Sommelier Joe Turnaturi and Clive Hartley, as well as guest lecturers.
1 day per week – Monday 9:30 til 4pm for 16 weeks.
