[NSW] Italian Varieties in Australia: A Closer Look

As the Australian wine scene continues to evolve, Italian varieties are finding more and more purpose in vineyards, wine shops, wine lists, and tables everywhere. With nods to climate change, viticulture, food-friendliness, and our ever-evolving palates, Italian varieties are certainly finding purpose.
Join Sommeliers Australia’s John Mackinnon (AJWM) as your host, alongside Melissa Moore (Love Tilly Group), Aaron Mercer (Mercer Wines) and resident Italian-Australian wine guru Mirko Scanu (Penfolds) as we taste through these emerging varieties in the Australian viticultural and hospitality landscape – with a few ‘inspirational Italian counterparts’ to compare with.
