The Sommeliers Australia Education Sub-Committee and our Education Scholarship Partners are pleased to announce the 12 Scholars selected to attend the 2019 Sommeliers Australia Education Scholarship.
The Education Scholarship was created to ensure that the next generation of sommeliers receive the training and support required to successfully advance in the profession.
The 2019 Education Scholarship received close to 40 applications from sommeliers across the country. The majority of applications received were from candidates not currently in senior sommelier positions, looking to extend their wine knowledge outside the realms of what they are exposed to on a daily basis.
After a lengthy review and assessment process, 12 Scholars were successfully identified and aligned with a Scholarship Partner.
