Monday, 21 June 2021 # 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm AEST

Cast a flaming torch on the relics of a distant past and unearth something unique in the world of wine, from the cradle of civilisation.

Throughout the ages, Armenia, Georgia, Greece & Turkey have seen many different ages, peoples, conquerors, liberators. While their disparate wine cultures may not sit at the forefront of the wine lens, each country’s wine history has an important place nonetheless.

Sommeliers Australia’s SA Team, James Boden (National Wine Centre), Geoffrey Hunt (Eleven) and Marcell Kustos will be joined via Zoom by guest presenter Wiremu Andrews (Dearth of a Salesman) for this masterclass.

Join them as they explore wines from the ancient birthplace of wine. Encounter difficult to pronounce varieties from a true mosaic of geological makeup and experience both traditional methods and modern-day winemaking techniques.
