Champagne Bureau Australia, in conjunction with Sommeliers Australia will host a ‘live’ webinar from the appellation of Champagne to discover the conditions of the recent Champagne harvest.

The vendange is an extremely busy time in Champagne. Each year, the unique characteristics of the grapes from the growing season are revealed to the wine makers and vignerons of the appellation and reflect much of the year’s weather conditions, terroir and each vigneron’s vineyard practice. The 2020 Champagne harvest, which began on 17 August, is the earliest harvest recorded – and the quality is reported to be outstanding.

You can discover more about the vineyards of Champagne, the 2020 harvest and the unique conditions of this unprecedented year by joining this ‘live’ interactive session direct from Epernay, in the heart of Champagne.

We have allowed time to answer any questions, but if you would like to know anything specific about the harvest in Champagne, you are welcome let us know ahead of the webinar and your question will be included (time permitting).

For background information on the seasonal practices in the vineyards of Champagne please log into the ‘Year in the Vineyards’ chapter of the Comité Champagne education platform: www.champagne-mooc.com

This is a Sommeliers Australia Members & Trade Only event.
