Monday, 19 April 2021 # 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm AEST

LGBTIQ+ visibility in the wine industry is very poor, and this is only amplified in regional areas. The wine industry employs over 170 000 people across grape growing regions around Australia, in addition to thousands of professionals in wine distribution, sales and education.

Initiated by Out for Australia and Squealing Pig the ‘Out for Wine’ event is a forum to discuss the different experiences of what it’s like to be LGBTIQ+ in the wine industry.

A diverse range of wine industry professionals will share the panel, bringing their personal stories of being LGBTIQ+ in the wine industry, and discuss cover topics such as:

  • How do you bring your most authentic self to work as an LGBTIQ+ professional?
  • Are some parts of the industry more ‘welcoming’ than others? Why is that?
  • What does diversity and inclusion look like in the queer Australian wine world?
  • What advice would you give to LGBTIQ+ students looking to get into the industry?

To join the forum discussion please register via Eventbrite for this FREE event.

Doors open at 6pm, with the panel discussion starting at 6.30pm.
