[NSW] Alison O’Brien – Bennelong Sydney
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Dallas, Texas, Alison O’Brien moved to Sydney in 2016 after a university exchange introduced her to the city’s vibrant culture. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, she built her career within Australia’s premium hospitality scene, working across high-end hotels and dining establishments where she developed a deep passion for wine and service excellence.
Alison has pursued rigorous study through the Court of Master Sommeliers and is currently preparing for the Advanced Sommelier Certificate. She also holds the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines with Merit and was selected as a scholar for Sommeliers Australia’s triennial Education Scholarship in 2025.
Dedicated to contributing meaningfully to Australia’s wine community, Alison regularly participates in tastings, masterclasses, and industry events, with the long-term goal of continually refining her craft and elevating standards of service.
