Reign? \n​​​​​​​​\nSommeliers Australia’s “Warriors of Wine” Sommeliers Long Lunch is back in New South Wales on Saturday 15 October… and this year the event is headed to the Hunter Valley with the support of NSW Wine!​​​​​​​​\n​​​​​​​​ \n\n\nThis year the “Warrior of Wine” title holder will be decided on by those in the dining arena\, on Saturday 15 October at the Margan Estate Barrel Room. \nFor the 2022 showdown it’s Region versus Region\, with the battlelines being drawn by three of NSW’s most talented sommeliers\, who will showcase wines from their ‘home’ region: \nGabby Fury (Grafted Wines) representing northern NSW & surrounds​​​​​​​​ \nDavid Collins (Charred Kitchen & Bar\, Orange) representing western NSW & surrounds​​​​​​​​ \nLucas Woods (Aubergine\, Canberra) representing southern NSW\, Canberra & districts\, & surrounds​​​​​​​​ \n​​​​​​​​\nThe challenge will be for each “Warrior” to each present three NSW wines to match three courses prepared by the talented team at Margan Estate. \nAccompanying the three course ‘battle rounds’ will be an aperitif on arrival\, plus a glass of something delicious to match a cheese course from our friends at Calendar Cheese. In total 11 wines will be served. \nThe winner will be determined by the gathered wine and food lovers of New South Wales\, who will cast votes for their favourite wine matches. \nNot only is this a fantastic opportunity to see three of the state’s best sommeliers put through their paces\, but the lunch will also include a fundraising raffle and silent auction. This year funds raised will go towards supporting Sommeliers Australia’s two candidates who will compete at the ASI Best Sommelier of Asia & Oceania competition in November 2022. \nSo book a ticket\, or for a group\, and watch our three “Warriors” in action as they present their best wine match. \n\n  \nWHO.
