A scenic 3 hour drive from Sydney, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is located in the greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. The resort forms the centrepiece for unique experiences and insights into Australia’s wildlife, history and cultural heritage.

Due to continuous growth we have an opportunity for a Sommelier to join our team in the serene Wolgan Valley, regional NSW.


The Role

Our ultra-luxury 5 star resort offers guests an intimate and creative dining experience with a nightly option of an a la carte or a chef choice menu. Paired with these menus is an extensive cellar of premium local, national and international wines of all varieties. The successful applicant in this role will lead the team in knowledge of the cellar and will be able to hold regular training sessions, as well as hosting private wine and cheese tastings for guests.

To be considered for this position we require

  • Proven ability to confidently sell high end wine and beverages, with exceptional product knowledge (including varietals and various wine regions in Australia and abroad)
  • Previous experience with controlling and managing stock is essential
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Food & Beverage operations in a five star hotel/resort or high end restaurant
  • Extensive experience training and mentoring a team of hospitality professionals
  • A team-player with a consistent positive, can-do attitude
