Institut Polaire is a cold climate wine and spirits bar embracing Tasmania’s long held status as the gateway to Antarctica with a passion for everything coldhearted. Our wine list encompasses graceful wine, aromatic gin and artisan whisky all with an emphasis on cold climate, low input, organic, biodynamic farming and natural techniques. Local fare is a staple in our kitchen with a range of plates available from open till late. Institut Polaire is also the home of Süd Polaire spirits and Domaine Simha wine. In that sense we are a cellar door as well as a wine bar and kitchen.
We are seeking a manager and sommelier. You should be someone that knows their stuff, loves people and is expert in engaging on different levels. We are a small venue so the roles are hands-on. We’re looking for talented people who can activate venue concepts, serve customers as well as manage our team and provide training where required.
