DESCRIPTION:** REGISTRATION NOW OPEN **\n  \nThe hospitality industry is based on welcoming guests and offering them just that – hospitality – in a comfortable and nurturing environment. \nBut as industry professionals\, do we actually do enough to help our colleagues and peers feel welcome and supported in the workplace? \nWhat needs to change for the industry to become more inclusive? \n\nTo gain a greater understanding of what Wine & Hospitality Professionals view as being barriers to both entry and progression within the hospitality industry\, the Sommeliers Australia D & I Working Group is hosting this online forum. \nSommeliers Australia members and other industry professionals keen to bring ideas\, energy and positive action to this space are all invited to join the discussion. \nThe forum discussion will be based around gender equity\, with a focus on recruitment\, inclusive and flexible environments\, leadership\, workplace behaviour\, etc. \nThe 90 minute forum will be moderated by Dr Bree Gorman\, a specialist consultant in the Diversity & Inclusion arena. \nTO REGISTER:\nRegistration to attend the Forum is essential. DESCRIPTION:As part of our commitment to advancing education and training in wines\, spirits and sake\, WSET Asia Pacific Limited has established a bursary fund to help potential students in the Asia Pacific region* who would otherwise be unable to take a WSET qualification. \nApplicants for the WSET APAC Bursary Fund (the “Bursary Fund”) must be resident in Asia Pacific* and of legal drinking age in the country or territory where they intend to study WSET qualification courses. Priority will be given to applicants currently working in the drinks or hospitality industries who demonstrate the need for WSET qualification training and for financial support. \nApplicants must submit their applications before quarterly deadlines: 30 September\, 31 December\, 31 March and 30 June.  Application review results will be communicated no later than 30 days after the submission deadline. \nSuccessful applicants will be awarded a fixed financial contribution* towards the cost of a course of study in HK$ or local currency equivalent:\nLevel 1 qualification course: HK$  750\nLevel 2 qualification course: HK$ 2\,000\nLevel 3 qualification course: HK$ 4\,000\n*Bursary values for the 2020/21 academic year and may be subject to annual review \n  \nThe Bursary Fund Application Form must be completed in English. Applicants will need to provide evidence of financial hardship or other disadvantage together with a copy of their CV and work experience to date\, a letter of motivation stating how the bursary will assist in their career development plans and a reference letter.
