DESCRIPTION:Sommeliers Australia\n2020 National Annual General Meeting\nMonday 15 February 2021\, 11.30am-12.30pm AEDT\nHeld online via Zoom – registration is required\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nDue to the COVID-19 restrictions of the 2020 calendar year\, the Sommeliers Australia 2020 Annual General Meeting which would ordinarily have been held in-person in late 2020\, was postponed. \nIn consideration of the ongoing uncertainty around COVID-19 restrictions and border closures\, the 2020 AGM has now been scheduled for Monday 15 February from 11.30am-12.30pm AEDT and will be conducted online (via Zoom) so that all interested Sommeliers Australia members can actively participate. \n  \nAs a member of Sommeliers Australia\, the AGM is your opportunity to have a say in how Sommeliers Australia will be structured for 2021. \nIn addition to reviewing the association’s business from the 2019/2020 financial year\, a new National Executive Committee will be elected during the AGM\, so it is important that as many members as possible attend. \nBoth current Professional and Enthusiast members (whose membership is current for the 2020/2021 period) are encouraged to attend and vote at the AGM. However only Professional members have the right to appoint a Proxy to vote on their behalf. \nTo confirm whether your membership is in fact current\, please login to sommeliers.com.au to check your membership status\, or contact info@sommeliers.com.au for assistance. \nIf your membership is not current and you would like to participate and vote in the AGM\, you have until 5pm\, Thursday 11 February to renew or purchase a membership via sommeliers.com.au. \n  \n** AGM attendance – registration is required **\nAll current Sommeliers Australia members intending to participate in the AGM are required to register their attendance by 5pm\, Thursday 11 February\, so that all members eligible to vote can be confirmed. \n  \nCLICK HERE for more information about the AGM\, to register your attendance\, view the agenda or download a Proxy form

DESCRIPTION:Knowing that Aussies love craft beer as much as Estonians do\, our ASI colleagues the Estonian Sommeliers Association invite Australian sommeliers\, beer sommeliers\, beer lovers and other drink enthusiasts to take part in the International BeerEst Challenge 2021! \n\nBeerEst Challenge 2021\n\nSince 2013\, the Estonian Sommelier Association (Eesti Sommeljeede Assotsiatsioon) has held a competition to discover the best beer sommelier in Estonia. For the last few years the contest has been international. Last year the contest was cancelled\, and as we’ve all jumped so many hurdles during the pandemic era\, the Estonian Sommelier Association decided this year to approach this event with a bold attitude and view it as an opportunity to embrace new possibilities of coming together and keeping our knowledge sharp and our wits about us! \nSo here it is – the first online International BeerEst Challenge 2021 for everyone across the world\, with a very appetizing award of 500 € cash and a unique Pilsner Urquell beer barrel\, branded with the winner’s name\, and some other nice gear from Pilsner Urquell. \nBeerEst Challenge 2021 is a test with more than 50 questions and it opens on 21 February  and stays open for 24 hours (9:00 UTC/20:00 AEDT\, Sunday 21 February til 9:00 UTC/20:00 AEDT Monday 22 February). \nThe challenge is open to everyone all over the world above the age of 21 years\, and situated anywhere in the world. \nTest your knowledge about the exciting facts about beer\, its styles\, producers and its history!\nThere is a good possibility to have a real good time and learn yet again more about the world of beer! \nFor more information or to take part in the BeerEst Challenge 2021 visit Facebook HERE \nWe look forward to your participation! \n  \nCheers!!! \nPilsner Urquell\nMomentin Baltics\nEstonian Sommelier Association  \n  \nLINK TO THE EVENT: https://www.facebook.com/events/477703376957817
