DESCRIPTION:The WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines provides in-depth knowledge of a wide range of old and new-world wine styles. This is an Advanced level qualification suitable for professionals working in the wine industry as well as experienced consumers. This qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo. \nThis qualification has prerequisite requirements. Please see details below. \nAssessment – Participation in a WSET two hour and fifteen minutes theory and tasting examination is required in the final session. \nWhat you will learn:\n– Key factors in the production of wine: location\, grape growing\, winemaking\, maturation and bottling\n– Still wines of the world\n– Sparkling wines of the world\n– Fortified wines of the world\n– How to apply your understanding to explain wine style and quality\n– How to taste wines using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT) \nYou should read WSET specification document before registration.
