DESCRIPTION:The WSET Intermediate certificate is intended as a training program in product knowledge for those employed in the drinks industry to improve their knowledge of wines and spirits and for the enthusiast with a serious interest in wine who would like to study in a structured manner. The course covers the wines and spirits of the world and is followed by a one hour multiple choice examination. Wine tasting is a part of every class. It also provides candidates with an in-depth understanding of wine styles\, wine regions\, grape varieties\, and wine production methods. Holders of the WSET level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines will be able to describe the characteristics of the principle wines of the world and give information on the key factors influencing style\, quality and value. \nThe qualified student will also be in a position to advise management\, to answer customer queries authoritatively\, and to make informed selections of wines in a variety of situations.
