DESCRIPTION:CANDIDATES SHOULD AIM TO COLLECT THEIR MATERIAL AT LEAST 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE LEVEL 3 CONTENT. \nPAYMENT IN INSTALMENTS IS AVAILABLE PLEASE CONTACT courses@winehouse.com.au \nThe Advanced Certificate qualification is designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world\, and their commercial importance in the world’s liquor market. \nThe qualification will assist those who are required to make professional evaluations of wines\, with regard to their commercial value in the retail and hospitality industry. It also provides candidates with an in-depth understanding of wine styles\, wine regions\, grape varieties\, and wine production methods. Holders of the WSET level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines will be able to describe the characteristics of the principle wines of the world and give information on the key factors influencing style\, quality and value. \nThe qualified student will also be in a position to advise management\, to answer customer queries authoritatively\, and to make informed selections of wines in a variety of situations. The Course is also suitable for keen enthusiasts wanting to continue their wine studies in a structured manner. \nThe course covers the following: \n– Tasting Techniques \n– Burgundy and Alsace \n– Bordeaux and South West France \n– Loire\, Rhone and Southern France \n– Germany\, Austria\, Hungary \n– Italy \n– Spain and Portugal \n– USA\,Canada and Chile\, \n– Greece\, Argentina and South Africa \n– Sparkling wines \n– Fortified wine \n  \nPalate training is part of every lesson. \nPlease note that the first day will start at 6pm for the course introduction. \nThe course will run over Monday and Tuesday evenings (6.30-8.30pm)\, on the 4th\, 5th\, 12th\, 18th\, 19th\, 25th\, 26th of March and the 1st\, 2nd\, 8th\, 9th of April. \nThere will also be TWO intensive Saturday classes held for a full day on the 23rd of March and the 6th of April (from 11am – 5pm). \nThe examination will be held on the 16th of April at 6pm. \n  \nPlease note: No refunds will be issued within 10 working days prior to the start of the course. Before that period a 75% refund is allowed if a student cancels their enrolment. A 100% refund will apply if Wine House cancels. \nThere is a re-sit exam fee of $180 if a student does not attend the exam for any reason. DESCRIPTION:Registration closes today!\nThe competition starts on 15 April 2019\, in your state with a 40 minute theory examination. \n  \nLa Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Australia invites young Australian-based sommeliers to compete in the 2019 International Young Sommeliers Competition. \nThe Competition offers young sommeliers the opportunity to present their skills and “savoir faire” under highly competitive\, intense and gruelling testing conditions at the National and International levels.  It promotes their expertise and provides them help\, encouragement and support in their quest to be the best sommeliers of the future. \nThis Competition has demonstrated year after year to the world the incredible talent and professionalism available here as Australia has been highly successful in winning a medal every year for the past 7 years. This includes Gold\, against fierce competitors from participating countries including the US and GB. Such a success rate is testament to the high standards set by Australian establishments. \nState and National winners will be able to share prizes in cash and products exceeding $7\,000\, provided by leading industry partners. Additional partnerships and support are welcome to support the Competition and these young professionals. \nThe Competition is open to any qualified individual who has an interest in the wine and crafted beverage industry at least 21 years old and has not yet reached his or her 31st birthday by the end of September 2019.  It is held in three stages.
