DESCRIPTION:CANDIDATES SHOULD AIM TO COLLECT THEIR MATERIAL AT LEAST 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE LEVEL 3 CONTENT. \n  \nPAYMENT IN INSTALMENTS IS AVAILABLE PLEASE CONTACT courses@winehouse.com.au \n  \nThe Advanced Certificate qualification is designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world\, and their commercial importance in the world’s liquor market. \nThe qualification will assist those who are required to make professional evaluations of wines\, with regard to their commercial value in the retail and hospitality industry. It also provides candidates with an in-depth understanding of wine styles\, wine regions\, grape varieties\, and wine production methods. Holders of the WSET level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines will be able to describe the characteristics of the principle wines of the world and give information on the key factors influencing style\, quality and value. \nThe qualified student will also be in a position to advise management\, to answer customer queries authoritatively\, and to make informed selections of wines in a variety of situations. The Course is also suitable for keen enthusiasts wanting to continue their wine studies in a structured manner. \n  \nThe course covers the following: \n– Tasting Techniques \n– Burgundy and Alsace \n– Bordeaux and South West France \n– Loire\, Rhone and Southern France \n– Germany\, Austria\, Hungary \n– Italy \n– Spain and Portugal \n– USA\,Canada and Chile\, \n– Greece\, Argentina and South Africa \n– Sparkling wines \n– Fortified wine \n  \nPalate training is part of every lesson. \nThe course will run over Monady and Tuesday evenings (6.30-8.30pm)\, on the 6th\, 7th\, 13th\, 14th\, 20th\, 21st\, 27th\, 28th of August and the 3rd\, 10th\, 11th\, 17th\, 18th of September. There will also be ONE intensive Saturday class held for a full day on the 8th of September (from 11am – 5pm). \nThe examination will be held on the 25th of September at 6pm. \nPlease note: No refunds will be issued within 10 working days prior to the start of the course. Before that period a 75% refund is allowed if a student cancels their enrolment. A 100% refund will apply if Wine House cancels. \nThere is a re-sit exam fee of $180 if a student does not attend the exam for any reason.
