SUMMARY:[NSW] Blind Tasting Group 18
DESCRIPTION:Tasting wines blind is the best way to improve your palate. But three things often stand in the way – it can be costly\, it takes up time\, and it can be intimidating. \nOur monthly blind tasting sessions eliminate all of these obstacles\, because for 1 hour it’s just between you and what’s in the glass! Simply book in\, turn up\, taste and expand your tasting ability\, with guidance from a Sommeliers Australia’s Alison O’Brien (Bennelong Sydney) and Nicolas Delporte (8 at Trinity) hosts. At the conclusion of each bracket\, Alison and Nicolas will give a short summary on the key pointers for the tasting of the wine\, and how to get to the correct conclusions. \nFour different wines – two whites and two reds – will be tasted each month. Wines are chosen primarily for their typicity and are a mixed bag of varieties\, origins\, quality and price points. \nSuitable for anyone in the industry wanting to practice blind tasting in a structured way\, those studying WSET and CMS\, or anyone looking to shake up their ‘cellar palate’.

SUMMARY:[VIC] The Drink Victorian Tasting
DESCRIPTION:The Drink Victorian Tasting is back! \nJoin Victoria’s most exciting drink producers as they showcase the state’s best beers\, wines\, ciders\, spirits and non-alcs under one roof at the Medallion Club at Marvel Stadium on Monday 27 July from 12 noon to 5pm. \nAfter hugely successful events in 2025 and 2024\, it’s time again to gather your team again for a great day out discovering what’s new and what’s trending in Victorian drinks and connecting with key players in hospitality and drinks production. \nThis year\, more than 200 producers are taking part – we’re talking great wines from across the whole spectrum of Victorian winemaking\, from the most established and the most traditional producers to the newest and least conventional\, and everything in between\, including the likes of Mac Forbes\, Vignerons Schmölzer & Brown\, Curly Flat\, Tahbilk and Little Frances. You’ll see the same breadth and diversity in brews\, with top-drawer beers and ciders from legends new and old like Sailors Grave and Gurney’s\, and in spirits and liqueurs from distillers such as Kinglake\, Luna Hueca tequila\, Koji Spirits\, Reed and Co\, Beechworth Bitters and Saison Aperitifs\, as well as non-alcs from T.I.N.A\, Mateo and Good Brew\, to name just a handful. \nDrop in for half an hour or settle in for half a day to taste\, network\, learn and snack; apart from the incredible drinks\, there’s also great snacks from Lee Ho Fook\, plus coffee and a lounge courtesy of our friends at OpenTable. We’re proud to be pouring in Plumm stemware on the day\, making sure the glasses befit the quality of what’s going into them. \nThis is a trade-only tasting event\, exclusive to the hospitality industry. It’s free to attend\, and registrations are essential. \nRegister HERE and please pass on the sign-up link to your teams. \nThe Drink Victorian program is proudly supported by the Victorian Government through Agriculture Victoria and Global Victoria. It’s an initiative of the Victorian Drinks Alliance\, a collaboration between Food + Drink Victoria (the not-for-profit behind Melbourne Food & Wine Festival)\, Cider Australia\, Independent Brewers Association\, Spirits Victoria and Wine Victoria. \nWhether you’re new to the trade\, or here to buy stock for a group of 50 pubs\, or you’re a WSET Jedi doing your MS and MW back-to-back\, you’ll find plenty at the tasting to sharpen up your venue’s drinks offering and enrich your own understanding of who’s making what right now\, right here in Victoria. We’ll see you there. \nSee the full list of participating producers here.

SUMMARY:[QLD] Blind Tasting Group 14
DESCRIPTION:Tasting wines blind is the best way to improve your palate. But three things often stand in the way – it can be costly\, it takes up time\, and it can be intimidating. \nOur monthly blind tasting sessions eliminate all of these obstacles\, because for 1 hour it’s just between you and what’s in the glass! Simply book in\, turn up\, taste and expand your tasting ability\, with guidance from Sommeliers Australia’s host Marcel Thomson (Dap&Co).  At the conclusion of each bracket\, Marcel will give a short summary on the key pointers for the tasting of the wine\, and how to get to the correct conclusions.
