Monday, 13 August 2018 # 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm AEST

Chile is a country of extremes. It’s where you’ll find vineyards on the fringes of the world’s driest desert in the north and others where the annual rainfall is 1800ml in the south. It’s also where tiny wineries battle to coexist alongside massive commercial producers.

While Chile has built its reputation on good value Cabernet blends, it’s now garnering greater attention for lesser known and not-yet-fashionable varieties such as País, Carmenere and Cinsault.

Sommeliers Australia welcomes native Chileno and wine importer, Dennis Roman and sommelier John Wilkinson in guiding us through a collection of wines that display the depth and diversity of the current Chilean wine industry — and provide a glimpse of its future.
